A paid app for a free site. Are you kidding?

I thought this would be a good idea to have instead of just a Safari shortcut on the home screen of my iPad. Its free, why not! Well once I download it and launch the app, it asks for a subscription and it doesnt provide a free option. Really?! At least it doesnt ask for a credit card up front. Im curious to see what happens at then of the trial period. Does it get disabled, or will it onto use to work as some secret free bypass. This is poor service. I expected more from AI. I would accept free passive app with ads similar to their website. but pay for push notifications and alerts and without ads.
